Amalienborg Palace, the oldest amusement park in the world, Viking Age monuments, castles and islands, one of the best art museums in Europe, bicycles.
This beautiful land
There is a beautiful land,
Which freely stretches out with beeches
Along the salty east coast,
Moving into hilly terrain.
Her name is Old Denmark,
Yes, this is Freya's abode.
There in ancient times
The armored Vikings were resting
Between the bloody battles,
And then they went to meet the enemy again.
Now their bones rest
Under the stone mounds.
This land is still as beautiful as ever,
The sea is blue around her,
And the green of the foliage shines.
Noble women and strong men
They still inhabit the Danish islands.
Long live the King and the Fatherland!
Long live every Dane,
Which does everything it can!
Our old Denmark will live,
While the beeches reflect
Its peaks are in the blue waves.
