According to the British publication The Independent, Sochi ranked 9th among Europe's winter destinations. Krasnaya Polyana's developed infrastructure and the growing number of foreign tourists, particularly from the Persian Gulf, were noted. Last winter, the resort welcomed over 1,4 million visitors, including approximately 120 foreigners.
