Authorities in Khao Bang Province reported that over 120 tourists visited Ban Gioc Waterfall in the first half of October, a record for this time of year. The majority of tourists come from China (via the Chongqing border crossing) and South Korea. To alleviate the congestion, a new visitor center and observation deck were opened.
