Bali Governor Wayan Koster confirmed that a US$10 tourism tax will be introduced for all foreign visitors starting in January 2026. The funds will be used to preserve the island's natural and cultural heritage. Bali has already welcomed over 6,2 million tourists in 2025, and authorities expect the tax to generate approximately US$60 million annually.
